S’PORE PR MADE FALSE DECLARATIONS FOR SHN, RISKED OTHERS TO COVID-19

Ko Kyung Ho, 45-years-old, will be charged in court today (1 April) for making false declarations so that he could opt out of having to serve a Stay Home Notice (SHN) at a dedicated facility.

He arrived in Singapore on 25 November last year and was issued a SHN from 25 Novemebr to 9 December.

He allegedly declared to ICA officers in a form that he would be staying at his place of residence either on his own, or with household members with the same travel history as him.

However, when officers conducted checks at his homje on 26 November, they found 3 people who did not share the same travel history as him; along with 9 house movers who were moving items into his place.

If convicted, Ko faced a jail term of up to 6 months, and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
