SPORE SWIMMER QUAH ZHENG WEN HAS ENLISTED FOR NATIONAL SERVICE

National swimmer Quah Jing Wen, sister of Quah Zheng Wen who is also a national swimmer, recently shared an Instagram story showing her brother in No.4 uniform with the caption ‘sending the beast back into the wild’.

Based on the Instagram story, we safely conclude that Quah Zheng Wen has already enlisted for service and started his life as a “chao recruit”.

Quah Zheng Wen was initially granted deferment from National Service to focus and train for the Olympic games, along with fellow national swimmer Joseph Schooling.

However, that deferment came to an end after the conclusion of the Tokyo games when it was announced by the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) that their deferment has ended on 31 August 2021 which means that Quah and Schooling will have to enlist for National Service soon.
