A Singaporean woman, Nicole Chen, shared on her TikTok page that she was with her friends in Bali when one of them got bitten by a monkey and had to get injections for rabies after her food grew to 10 times its size.
Chen said in her video that the trip took place in the middle of March, when the group of 4 friends visited Bali for a “girl trip”.
Two of the girls booked a flight in the afternoon to Bali first, with the remaining two (including Chen) booking another flight later in the evening.
The two girls who reached Bali first then decided to do a little bit of sightseeing first while waiting for the other two to arrive, and they visited the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud.
However, during an interaction with the monkeys, one of the girls got bitten by the monkey, but they decided to carry on with their day without seeking medical attention.
Chen said in another video that after they returned from their Bali trip, her friend’s foot then swelled up to 10 times the normal size because of the monkey bite.
The girl then had to go through 10 injections to fight off the rabies infection.
