The district prosecutor’s office reportedly obtained “objective evidence” proving the baby was alive at birth and has since reclassified the case as a homicide.

An arrest warrant for the couple was issued for suspected office of homicide and disposal of the body.

It is worth noting that Singapore does not have an extradition treaty with Taiwan and that the couple can only be arrested by the Taiwanese authorities if they enter Taiwan.

The Taiwanese authorities can request for assistance from the Singapore police to obtain evidence though.
