Senior dog Poppy, who was saved from euthanasia by a local vet, was put up for adoption by the clinic.
His owner decided to put Poppy down as he found it difficult to care for him. They sent the dog to Gentle Oak Veterinary Clinic to be put down, but the vets decided against it.
The vets stated that Poppy deserved the right to fight to live and the dog was still bright and able to receive treatment. That decision save the dogs life and a nurse at the vet took the dog in.\
Many Singaporeans came forward to enquire on adopting poppy. The post on their Facebook page thanked those who have contacted the clinic and some adopters have been shortlisted.
