The US Centers for Disease Control and Protection (CDC) reclassified its travel alert for Singapore from “very high” to “unknown” on 4 January.
They also suggested their people avoid travelling to Singapore.
The same classification was also accorded to North Korea, Yemen, Syria and Afghanistan, and the CDC’s advisory stated:
“Because the current situation in Singapore is unknown, even fully vaccinated travellers may be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19 variants.”

They also added that travellers from the US should enter Singapore only if they have been fully vaccinated.
