As reported by Straits Times, the chain wound up on July 3 after accumulating debts to a number of creditors, including some employees who are owed a month’s salary.

Sportslink was founded in 1983 by Lim Kau Tee and started out as Sports Interlink, a store in Queensway Shopping Centre.

In its heyday, the chain boasted over 30 outlets after moving into the heartlands.

However, as of January this year, Sportslink has only nine listen outlets left.
