STARHUB “SORRY” AFTER CUSTOMERS FACED FROZEN TV SCREENS ON LAST DAY OF EPL BROADCAST

StarHub has issued an apology for the technical difficulties encountered by soccer enthusiasts in Singapore who were utilizing its Premier+ service on Sunday (May 28), the concluding day of the Premier League season.

On the evening of May 28, ten Premier League matches were scheduled to take place (Singapore time). Regrettably, numerous viewers across the country experienced various technical problems, such as screens freezing and telecasts being delayed.

According to DownDetector, the number of outage reports surged to over 2,400 shortly after the kickoff time.

The mishap particularly affected supporters of Manchester United and Liverpool, as incorrect matches were broadcasted on the corresponding channels.

Instead of airing United’s match against Fulham, the channel mistakenly showed United’s previous encounter with Chelsea.

Similarly, Liverpool’s game against Southampton was not featured on the designated channel; instead, it was replaced by the Reds’ preceding fixture against Aston Villa.
