Advisories from a school were published and send to parents after a student from Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ School was found positive for Covid-19.

The student is Primary 5 and was last in school on 11 Aug 2021. The student is a household member of a confirmed case outside of school.

Here is the advisory:
We were informed by the Ministry of Health (MOH) that one of our Primary 5 students has been tested positive for COVID-19. The student was last in school on Wednesday. 11 August 2021 and was well. The student is the household member of a confirmed case outside of school. Students and staff who were in close contact with the student have been identified and placed on Leave of Absence (LOA).
Cleaning and disinfecting of the school premises have been carried out this afternoon. We would like to assure you that the school has been and will continue to tightly implement safe management measures. These include cleaning high-touch surfaces and disinfecting our premises regularly. cohortising our students to minimise inter-mingling and ensuring hygiene practices such as washing hands and wiping down by students and staff.
