SUN PLAZA WOMAN CLAIMS SHE HAS MULTIPLE PERSONALITIES

According to a media release, a woman who was caught not wearing a mask in Sun Plaza told the court that she is suffering from a dissociative identity disorder.

The woman pleaded guilty to her charges including one count of harassment, using criminal force against civil servants and an offence under the COVID-19 act.

The incident happened on the 29 Apr 2020 at Sun Plaza, she was spotted holding a mask in her hand and refused to wear it after being told to do so. She then verbally abused a mall staff and a security guard on that day.

On 7 May 2020, she had verbally abused another mall staff after she was asked to scan her NRIC before entering the mall. She was asked to leave the premise but she ignored the request and proceeded into the mall without scanning her NRIC for contact tracing purposes.

The police were alerted, when the police tried to arrest her she resisted and even scratched the police officer forearm.

During the court hearing, she told the court that she wants to get over with the case quickly as she felt that she was being abused.

The judge had called for a report to evaluate if the woman was suitable for an MTO. She will be sentenced on the 26 Jun 2020.
