Singapore self-proclaimed “superstar celebrity” Kurt Tay Foo Wei, recently made the news after being charged in court for allegedly disseminating obscene content of a woman without her consent. However, it seems his legal troubles are only the tip of the iceberg.
A video emerged online showing Tay purportedly being fired from his job as a security guard because he had been playing with his phone too much.
What happened?
In the video, Tay was seen having a heated conversation with what seems to be his supervisor on the phone at a supermarket.
The supervisor told him that their client apparently saw him playing with his phone and requested that Tay be removed from his post.
He then asked Tay how many phones he has, and Tay replied that he had “4 or 5 ah,” and the supervisor revealed that he had been receiving complaints about Tay playing with his phone while on duty.
An upset Tay then defended his actions, saying that “there’s nothing to do, if you don’t use phone, what are you going to do? You want to stare into the air? Definitely you will fall asleep one! Some more is midnight!”

Self-proclaimed “superstar celebrity” online personality, Kurt Tay Foo Wei, was earlier this week charged with distributing an obscene video of a woman without her consent, to a Telegram chat group.
Following his court appearance, he has since taken to social media to appeal for donations from the public, so that he can hire a lawyer for his court case.
He also shed light on his situation, saying that he needs the money urgently and had been “sabotaged” by some “cb kia, some pubor kia”.
He says that the money raised will be used by him to hire a “professional lawyer” for his court case as well as to “sue someone and not for other purpose.”
He said that “this someone want to destroy my life” as he reiterated his need for money, adding that “it’s not easy to go strike 4D 1st prize”.
