The Taiwanese comedian-host Nono found himself in the midst of controversy as he was summoned by the Taipei District Prosecutor’s Office for the second time, according to Liberty Times Net.
On October 18, he appeared in court to face allegations of assault and harassment. This incident has sparked significant public interest and raised questions about the legal proceedings and the extent of the accusations against him, where he allegedly forced himself on women and asked them if his private part was big enough.
Nono’s Second Appearance in Court
Nono’s return to the prosecutor’s office on October 18 marked a significant development in the ongoing case. The public’s attention was drawn to the courtroom as the comedian-host faced serious allegations, which he has continuously denied.
One of the most shocking aspects of this case was the genital examination that Nono had to undergo during the proceedings.
Forensic scientists conducted this examination to compare the characteristics of his lower body against the statements provided by the victims, and it lasted for about 10 minutes.
Nono, aged 52, left the prosecutor’s office after close to two hours and chose to remain silent in front of reporters. He continued to vehemently deny all the claims made against him. The allegations have sparked a heated debate among the public, with many eagerly following the developments of the case.
Anissa’s Accusations
The allegations against Nono began to surface on June 20 when an online celebrity Anissa, otherwise known as “Little Red Teacher”, took to her social media profiles and claimed that a “Brother N,” which is presumably referring to Nono, had assaulted her.
Anissa stated that she sought help from him after almost being molested a baseball player’s manager at the time.
What is equally concerning is the alleged scale of Nono’s wrongdoings. It is claimed that over the past 20 years, more than 25 women have been assaulted or harassed by Nono., and she claimed that he had forced himself on women and asked them if his genitals were big enough.
Nono was first interrogated on 2 August after being summoned by the prosecutor before being released on a bail of NT$500,000 (SGD$21,000).
