Ms Tang, a Taiwanese expat who left Tokyo to work in Singapore 5 years ago stated on how she feels unwelcome in a country which has been known to embrace foreign talent.

Ms Tang is believed to be working as a sales executive at a tech company. But she lost her job recently due to the Covid pandemic. She is currently living in a Robertson Quay apartment where dozen of units are being rented by foreigners.
“If all the foreigners leave, who is going to pay the rent for condos? Their Singaporean owners will be struggling to pay their condo mortgages,” said the former sales executive.
It is believed that her rental for her apartment is $4,000 a month.
