According to the media release, a 45-year-old man believed to be related to the post of the woman who was stabbed has passed away. The 45-year-old man was found motionless at the foot of a Punggol Field HDB block.

The body of the alleged assailant was found hours after the woman was stabbed.
Officers arrived at Blk 206 Tampines Street 21 at around 6.30 AM and found the 42-year-old woman lying motionless on the ground with slash wounds on her neck.
At around 9.10 AM the male suspect who is believed to be assailant was found motionless at the foot of Block 205 Punggol Field.
Both male and female were conveyed to the hospital but both died later.
