According to the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), the licence of Tang Tea House located at Jalan Kayu has been suspended for a period of 2 weeks. The suspension period is between 21 Sep to 04 Oct 2020.

The Eatery has accumulated a total of 12 Demerit points over a period of 1 year.
Their offences:
- Failure to keep licensed premises free of cockroach infestation
- Failure to register assistant
Aside to the suspension, the eatery was fined a total of $800.
According to SFA guideline, any Licensees who accumulated more than 12 demerit points will face a penalty of the licence being suspended for a period of 2 to 4 weeks or even cancelled.
All food handlers at Tang Tea House @ Jalan Kayu are required to re-attend and pass the Basic Food Hygiene Course before they could work.
