From a video circulating online, a taxi caught fire and exploded this morning at Yishun. Many people can be seen assisting to put out the fire even before the civil defense arrived.

One individual was seen using a fire extinguisher in an attempt to put out the fire. A helpful neighbour staying on the third floor can be seen pouring water through a water hose from the third floor as well.
When the civil defense force arrived, the fire was put out quickly. It was alleged that the fire was caused by the faulty car battery.
