From the video, the taxi driver shared that it has become troublesome for him when he is trying to collect payment from his passenger. For passenger paying with cards, he has to push the machine through a hole before the passenger can make their payment.
He strongly encourages other drivers not to install the vinyl separator curtain if possible as it is very troublesome.
