A disturbing incident involving a taxi driver’s unacceptable behavior has been shared online. The writer, a mother, booked a taxi with her son, friend, and her friend’s son, all of whom are under 3 years old and required two prams. However, the taxi driver’s car boot was cluttered, making it difficult to fit one of the prams.
Instead of attempting to assist or find a solution, the driver refused to help, claiming the pram wouldn’t fit, and pressured the mother to remove it. When the mother pointed out the driver’s lack of effort, he became aggressive and used the derogatory term “kanina” towards her. The situation escalated into a verbal altercation, with the driver using vulgarities and pointing his finger in the faces of the passengers.
The commotion lasted for about a minute, causing the friend’s son to cry. Despite being told to stop, the driver continued to scold and use abusive language. Fortunately, two Grab riders intervened, and the mother was able to remove her pram and son from the taxi. The driver then left the scene.
The mother’s account highlights the taxi driver’s unacceptable behavior, including his lack of patience, refusal to assist, and use of verbal abuse. It is essential for customer-facing professionals, like taxi drivers, to possess basic interpersonal skills and empathy. In this case, the driver’s hot temper and inability to manage the situation led to a distressing experience for the passengers.

Crazy taxi driver from hell! Me, my son, my friend & her son booked a taxi, we have 2 pram with us as our boys are below 3 years old. My pram cannot close fully but could fit certain taxi, not all.
His car boot has ALOT OF THINGS inside hence it was hard for me to try & fit my pram in. This idoit fella didn’t even try to help yet keep on saying cannot fit, pressuring me but never tried to help. So I said ”you talk so much but never try to help” he cannot accept it & started to use the word KANINA towards me.
I can totally understand if he wants to reject our trip bcs my pram couldn’t fit provided he talked nicely. I also fought back with nasty words. When vulgarities are thrown at you, it’s a natural reaction that you fight back so that’s what I did. The verbal commotion lasted for about 1 min & while shouting vulgarities he keep on pointing his finger infront of our faces????
My friend’s son started crying so my friend told him to stop. He did not care & continued to scold vulgarities. Lucky there was 2 grab riders who saw the commotion, they came to stop this hot tempered fella & I took out my pram from his taxi together with my son & he left the scene. Honestly if you don’t have the patience then don’t work in a customer service line. Go work in a mortuary so you don’t have to deal with people. Such a hot tempered person!
