TEEN CAUGHT ON CCTV STEALING RESIDENT’S BICYCLE FROM HDB CORRIDOR

A video emerged online showing a bicycle being stolen by a teenager at an unidentified HDB block’s corridor.

The boy was seen sneaking up to a bicycle that was parked along the HDB corridor, looking around him to make sure no one saw him.

He then hastily grabbed the bicycle and pushed it away, fleeing the scene with his stolen bicycle.

Unbeknownst to the little thief, the whole incident was captured on the CCTV of one of the residents.

Potential penalties

Under Section 379 of the Penal Code, those found guilty of theft face a jail term or up to 3 years and/or a fine.
