19-year-old Goh An Soon appeared in court on 19 December 2019 to face the following charges:

The incident took placed between December 2018 and Feb 2019. In a few short months, Goh sneaked into NUS dormitory’s( King Edward VII Hall) eight times to commit the crimes.
Aside from stealing underwear, items such as cash, bank cards, socks and clothing for exercise were part of his plunder.
The media reported that Goh is not a student from NUS and he is expected to be back in court on 9 Jan 2020 to receive his sentence.
Amount the charges Goh is facing, Theft cases typically received more harsh punishments comparted to criminal trespass and DMOP. If he is found guilty for theft he can face up to 7 years jail and fine.
