After months of being forced to close due to the Phase 2 restrictions, Teo Heng KTV has succumbed to their losses and are reportedly forced to close at least 7 of their outlets, including their very first outlet at Katong Shopping Centre.
According to Shin Min Daily News, Jackson Teo, the founder of Teo Heng KTV, said that they are panning to close half of their existing outlets gradually, starting with the one at Katong Shopping Centre, which has operated for more than 30 years.
The karaoke systems and equipment from their Katong outlet has already been moved out.
Teo told Shin Min that their current situation is “terrible”.
He added that the company hopes their remaining seven outlets can resume operations as soon as possible, so as to recoup their losses.
Teo Heng KTV started with only five rooms at Katong Shopping Centre back in 1989 because of Teo’s passion for music.
