In a stunning and bizarre incident, a 59-year-old Thai man, Prueang Enmak, was brought back to life after being declared dead, only to refuse further treatment and make a remarkable 3-kilometer dash back to his home.
The extraordinary events unfolded in the Isaan province of Surin, where Prueang’s family members were attempting to perform CPR on him after he was found unconscious in his bathroom. The rescue team from the Sawang Arom Rescue Foundation arrived and took over the CPR efforts, successfully reviving Prueang after 20 minutes.
However, Prueang was disoriented and unresponsive when he came to, and the rescue team decided to transport him to Prasat Hospital for further examination. But in a shocking turn of events, Prueang suddenly regained consciousness while being transferred to the hospital, removed his intravenous line, and fled from the ambulance.
Despite the rescue team’s attempts to stop him, Prueang grabbed a wooden stick as a weapon and continued running for over 3 kilometers, eventually arriving back at his home. His family members managed to calm him down and take him inside safely.
Prueang’s wife, Sombat Enmak, recounted the events leading up to her husband’s near-death experience, saying that he had consumed two to three bottles of beer before taking a shower, where he was later found unconscious. This was not the first time Prueang had experienced a near-death episode, as a similar incident had occurred four to five years ago, where he stopped breathing for a night before reviving.
In a remarkable twist, Prueang claimed that during his previous near-death experience, he had a chance to enjoy a traditional Thai dance performance and came back to life after the show ended. This time, however, he was more concerned with getting back home than seeking medical attention.
When asked about his incredible feat, Prueang simply stated that he felt exhausted after the long run and didn’t know how he managed to cover such a distance. His only thought at the time was to get back home, not to go to the hospital.
The incident has left many in awe, with some drawing parallels to the biblical story of Lazarus, who was also brought back to life after being declared dead. While Prueang’s story is certainly remarkable, it also raises questions about the importance of seeking medical attention in such situations, and the potential risks of refusing treatment.
