THAI WIFE STABS HUSBAND IN PATTAYA THEN GOES ON THE RUN

Husband Severely Injured After Domestic Dispute in Pattaya

A domestic violence incident in Pattaya shocked residents when a heated argument between a husband and wife spiralled into a stabbing, leaving the husband critically injured. The altercation occurred around 5pm on Thursday, 3 July, directly outside a row of rental rooms opposite Soi Kor Pai 10 in South Pattaya. The entire event was captured on CCTV footage, which has since become crucial evidence in police investigations.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Suchart Dusadee, an investigator from Pattaya City Police Station, responded swiftly to reports of the stabbing. Arriving alongside rescue personnel from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation, officers discovered large bloodstains on the ground in front of Room 79. The victim, 30-year-old Thirawat, suffered two stab wounds: one on his left upper back and another on his left shin, each approximately one to two centimetres deep. He was bleeding profusely and appeared pale and cold when rescuers administered first aid before rushing him to Pattaya Memorial Hospital.

Argument Escalates into Physical Assault

According to a neighbour who lives adjacent to the couple’s room, the dispute began with a loud verbal altercation. Witnesses recounted that Thirawat and his wife, known only as Ice, both 30 years old, exchanged aggressive insults while Thirawat stood outside and Ice remained inside their room. The argument soon escalated, with Thirawat charging towards Ice and physically attacking her by kicking.

In a desperate act of self-defence, Ice drew a sharp object and stabbed her husband. The CCTV footage, later reviewed by police, confirmed that the husband initiated the physical assault. After stabbing him, Ice fled the scene with their young daughter, believed to be about three or four years old. The neighbour, alarmed by the chaos, intervened, found Thirawat covered in blood, and quickly called the police.

Suspect Believed to Have Fled Pattaya

Preliminary police investigations suggest that Ice may have boarded a bus to return to her hometown in Ratchaburi province following the incident. Police have already collected significant evidence from CCTV recordings, confirming the identities of both the attacker and the victim as husband and wife. The footage clearly shows the intense argument, physical attack, and subsequent stabbing, which has helped police establish the sequence of events.

Police informed Thirawat that he has the right to file a formal complaint at Pattaya City Police Station should he wish to pursue legal action against his wife. Investigations into this shocking case of family dispute are ongoing, as authorities work to gather more information and locate Ice, who remains at large.

This violent episode has raised serious concerns about domestic violence in Pattaya, with many urging couples to seek help before conflicts turn dangerous. Authorities emphasised the importance of early intervention to prevent family disputes from escalating into physical harm.
