THERE ARE 121 CASES OF COVID-19 INCLUDING 29 UNLINKED TODAY

121 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Singapore today (28 Aug), with 113 cases being locally transmitted and eight being imported.

25 more cases were added into the Bugis Junction cluster, bringing the total number in that cluster to 176.

32 out of the remaining 88 local cases have already been placed in quarantine and are linked.

27 of the 88 are also linked but not in quarantine when their test result returned positive.

29 cases are unlinked and there are eight imported cases who were placed in isolation or stay home notice upon arrival.

Four of them were detected upon arrival while the other four developed illnesses while placed under isolation or stay home notice.

The country’s COVID-19 infection numbers now stand at 67,171 since the start of the pandemic.

MOH will update about the situation tonight with further details.
