THIRSTY DRUNK MAN DRINKING BEER IN MRT LIKE HIS HOUSE

A man was spotted drinking beer in the MRT taking the priority seat.

It is against the law to consume in the train, no food or drink was to be consumed in MRT trains and stations. If you do, you will be issued a notification of offence which carries a fine of up to $500.

For non-compliance with safe management measures under the COVID-19 offenders may be jailed for up to six months, fined up to S$10,000, or both.

If the man is caught by the Police for not wearing a mask or not wearing a mask properly he can be charged under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.

Penalties include a fine of up to SGD$10,000 and jailed for up to six months.
