Following the rise in tension between China and India over broader conflicts, India had since banned 59 apps from China including TikTok & WeChat. In order to gain more shares in the social media market in Asia the Bejing based company has since applied for a license to operate a digital bank in Singapore.

This might come as a piece of good news for Singaporeans who had lost their job due to the pandemic. With the tech giant setting up their HQ in Singapore means more job opportunities will be created.
