I not very good experience had about a year or two ago, being approached in am by a Tissue auntie saying she hadn’t eaten for days maybe 60 years old, asking for money to eat so she can get food to eat.
I asked how much she needs and she said whatever I can spare like $5 or 10. I was a bit confused and just handed over two $10 notes hopefully it would get her through the day. She said thanks but didn’t seem too happy, maybe expecting more, and slowly walk to the nearest coffee shop.
I walked off about 20 metres and then thought WTF happened there and turned around and saw the same lady walking back to the spot where I met here. A few hour later I see this auntie nearby smoking and drinking beer. Was very tempted to have a word to her, but decided just to leave it be and move on.
