On Wednesday morning, four stalls in Toa Payoh Lorong 7 hawker centre were affected by a blocked pipe, which caused waste water to flood the stall premises.

This was apparently not the first time that it had occurred, with one hawker saying that this occurs at least once every year for the past three years. The water that flowed out of the stalls was filled with food waste and had a layer of oil on top, and it gave off a pungent smell.
Being a hawker centre, this kept customers away, and the stall owners were also unable to carry out their business, as they had to do clean up operations. What does the Town Council have to say about this??
