
According to a media release, as Singapore is preparing to enter phase 3 of re-opening the multi-ministry task force tackling Covid-19 has announced that it will be made mandatory for people to use TraceTogether application at public places by end of 2020.
Public Places Includes:
- Workplaces
- Schools
- Shopping malls
In general, it will become mandatory to use TraceTogether application at places where activities involved a large group of people. The multi-ministry task force is aiming for at least 70% of the people using the application as it is one of the conditions for phase 3 re-opening.
Other Places that Require Mandatory TraceTogether Check-in:
- Live performance events
- Business events
- Place of worship
With the implementation of the new rule, the members of the public will no longer be allowed to gain access to these places by scanning SafeEntry QR codes or with their NRIC.
