The traffic police are currently testing a new 3D camera at Thomson Road and Newton road.

The police commander Sam Tee mentioned that this two area are high in traffic volumes and traffic violation it is known as a traffic accident area.
The camera is able to record multiple violations simultaneously.
An example would be that if a vehicle made an illegal U-turn, turning into the wrong lane and blocking traffic and obstructing oncoming vehicles. The 3D camera is able to record all these offenses.
TP is trying to use new technology as a deterrent and reminding road users to not commit traffic offenses.
