Hi,My car was waiting behind this truck at the set of lights when I noticed it starting to slide backwards. I horned but the driver clearly did not hear me or notice his truck sliding backwards. Before I could engage in reverse gear, the truck had hit my bumper. He then drove off when the light turned green. I tried to get the driver’s attention by overtaking on the right and horning, but he was completely oblivious. Our vehicles stopped next to each other at the next set of lights but he still did not notice my horning or what had happened before. He eventually drove off.
I was driving with my 2 children at the time who were shaken. Thankfully, my vehicle sustained minor damages. I have lodged a report with the Police and also written to the company that owns the truck. I am looking for anyone who might have a video recording from their in-car camera that can assist.
