A video emerged online showing the rear cargo door of a heavy truck breaking and flying off on the expressway and hitting a car that was behind it.
The incident happened on 4 December at around 1.46pm, on the TPE heading towards Changi.
The truck was seen driving on the road without any issues when the door suddenly broke and flew off, and a huge mist of sand rose from the truck into the air.
The door then struck a white car that was behind it on a different lane, as the camcar came to an abrupt halt because the door had landed right in front of it.
The camcar driver shared the video and captioned it:
“Hope the occupants in the car are unhurt. Hopefully, this video will assist the car driver with their insurance claim against the truck.”
