[Fire @ No. 32E Tuas Ave 11]
On 24 February 2021 at about 11.25am, SCDF responded to a fire at No. 32E Tuas Ave 11.
Upon SCDF’s arrival, a unit in an industrial building was smoke-logged. SCDF firefighters wearing breathing apparatus sets entered the unit cautiously to locate the fire. The fire involved an industrial mixer in the affected unit and was extinguished with two water jets. SCDF conveyed eight persons to the Singapore General Hospital for burn injuries*.

About 65 people from the neighbouring units of the affected building self-evacuated prior to SCDF’s arrival. SCDF is investigating the cause of the fire.
*Patients who suffered smoke inhalation or serious burn injuries but are in stable condition, will be conveyed to Singapore General Hospital’s specialised Burn Centre instead of the nearest hospital.
