TikTok user @runawaykim posted a video of his experience at the Chatuchak Night Market Singapore at Turf City on 12 February.
He was seen in the video struggling to get through the densely packed crowds at the market, as he filmed himself shaking his head in disappointment.
He even captured another visitor grabbing onto their friend’s shirt so as not to get separated.
He lameted how he didn’t even get to try any food because of the huge crowds and long queues, and summed up his experience there as “10/10 would…… not recommend.”
The netizen who took the video, Hakim, told MustShareNews that his experience at the night market was dreadful, and that as he drove to the market, the road that was leading to it was packed with vehicles.
He said that it took him “triple the time” to reach the market, and he also faced more challenges in the form of trying to get a parking lot, which was made even more difficult with the narrow roads and big crowds.
Hakim also lamented how it was almost impossible to get any food to try because he couldn’t see where the queues were starting because of how long the queues were, mixed with the crowd.
One of the queueing customers reached the front of the queue and was told to get a ticket from the cashier, and ended up having to re-queue.
