I’m sorry, it’s a little long, as I try to put in all details.
At Fat Po having dinner, I witnessed something unbelievable!
These 2 guys came behind me, didn’t queue up, and helped themselves to a table.
I thought that was very rude, but they didn’t look or sound local, but at the same time, doesn’t look total foreign, definitely not tourist.
So they ordered a jug of beer, and some food. One started smoking, yes, literally take out a cigarette and light up.
The staff told him that smoking is not allowed here, that he has to step out, and he try to wriggle his way out by asking the staff where is the toilet, but continue to sit there with the cigarette in his hand.
After much persuasion from the staff (I have to say the manager is really damn patient), he finally stood out to smoke.
Then, he came back with a bag of satay from another restaurant. The staff saw, and nicely told them that outside food is not allowed in their restaurant, and he raised his voice, saying that they are very hungry, and they have to eat the satay because they are hungry.
Then they ask the staff, “Then you tell me where I can sit?” in a very bad manner.
Staff explained that boss will reprimand him if he sees outside food here, and that they will face problem with NEA.
Finally, the 2 guys promised they will not eat the satay, but with photo proof, you can see that they are still eating the satay.
When their food was served, the staff saw them still eating the satay, gave a helpless look, put the plates down and walk off.
These 2 guys, shouted at him to come back, saying his attitude was bad because he just put the plates down and walked off. I’m stunned… like “Then should he kneel down and bow, and ask you to enjoy your food?”
Then 1 of the guys (in black) just take the plate and smash it on the floor. A few staff came over quickly to clear the food and broken plates on the floor, 1 of the guy (in white) stood up, and push the female staff so hard, left her left arm red. Not sure what he was trying to do though, picking up some of the friend chicken pieces on the floor.
When the female staff asked “Why did you push me?” he tried to find trouble with her too, as shown on photo.
After that, the manager told them that they will not be charged, they just happily walked off, but on the way, the guy in white find trouble with 1 staff, challenging to bash him up.
A customer Justin from another table shouted across “Hey, stop harassing him!” (as by now all the customers from the surrounding tables cannot stand how they abuse the staff anymore), he went over to Justin and challenged him to a fight.
Justin called the police, and they quickly scoot off.
I hope no F&B staff will have to go through this! Most of them hold a working pass, here to earn a living, but they are not inferior to anyone!
I will not allow any of my staff to tolerate this!
I hope the police can find these 2 fellas soon and give them their appropriate punishment.
