TWO MEN ARRESTED AFTER ATTACK WITH METAL OBJECT AT SELETAR WEST ROAD

A violent incident occurred on Valentines Day (Feb 14) which resulted in the arrest of two men.

A 21 and 24-year-old man was arrested for their suspected involvement in a case of voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous means against a 22-year-old man at Seletar West Road.

The individual had many injuries and was conscious when he was sent to the hospital.

The Police were alerted to the incident and by the time were on the scene the two attackers were gone from the scene of the crime but through extensive ground inquiries and with the aid of images from police and CCTV cameras, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identity of both men and arrested them on the same day.

Investigations revealed that two metal objects were used in the attack and the two men had an argument with the victim before the incident.

Investigations are still ongoing for the 24-year-old, the 21-year old attack will be charged in court today (Feb 16)

For voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous means under Section 326 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. The offence carries a punishment of imprisonment for life, or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 15 years, and shall also be liable to caning or if he is not sentenced to imprisonment for life, liable to fine.
