
Two men, aged 51 and 59, were arrested by the police on suspicion of a robbery and attacking the victim.
According to The Singapore Police Force, the Police were alerted via several police reports that a fight had occurred along New Upper Changi Road at about 1.36 AM yesterday
Initial investigations revealed that a 41-year-old man was attacked by two men and his bang containing S$420 and a mobile phone was robbed by the duo.
Police officers from the Bedok Police Station arrived at the scene to investigate and they were able to identify the suspects via Police CCTV, and both men were arrested within 15 hours.
Both men will be charged in court tomorrow(11 May 2020), they will be facing charges of robbery with hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.
If convicted, they will be punished with imprisonment for a term of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years and not less than 12 strokes of the cane.
