TWO MEN ARRESTED IN EUNOS FOR STEALING GOLD BRACELET FROM PAWNSHOP

According to the Police media release, two men aged 32 and 34 were arrested for their suspected involvement in a case of theft of a gold bracelet.

The Police said: On 6 August 2021 at about 2.05pm, the Police were alerted to a theft of a gold bracelet, valued at $4,000, at a pawnshop along Eunos Crescent.

Officers from the Bedok Police Division were able to identify the two males through on-the-ground inquiries and the use of pictures from CCTV video within 12 hours of the report. The guys are suspected of being engaged in other similar theft instances, according to preliminary investigations. The gold bracelet was also found and confiscated as evidence in the case.

On August 10, 2021, the men will face charges of theft in dwelling with common intention, which is punished under Section 380 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code.

The crime carries a penalty of up to seven years in jail and a fine.
