TWO WOMAN ARRESTED FOR CREDIT CARD FRAUD, AMOUNTING MORE THAN $1,000

According to a police media release, two woman aged 28 and 39 years old were arrested for their suspected involvement in credit card fraud.

It was reported that the 28-year-old suspect had stolen the credit card from the victim before passing it to the 39-year-old suspect who used it for online shopping.

The police were alerted on 05 Dec 2020 by the victim after noticing a few unauthorised transactions being made with his card amounting to more than $1,000.

After investigations, the police identified the identity of the two women and arrested them on 14 Dec 2020.

If convicted, the two women could be jailed up to 10 years and fine for their offence of cheating.
