A video emerged ohnline showing a short clip of strange orbs of lights floating over the South China Sea, with the sighting being made by a pilot flying at about 39,000 feet.
The Pentagon also held their first public hearing on Tuesday (17 May) relating to Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), their first in more than 5 decades.
American Military News reported that the pilot who recorded the clip was flying over the South China Sea, near Hong Kong at the time of the sighting.
The lights were seen moving in a formation of threes as they floated over the clouds, with a few other lights appearing and disappearing.
Some netizens have said that it could be reflections from the pilot’s cockpit, while some other netizens deduced that it was just birds.
The Pentagon said that they have received about 400 reports of UFOs, according to CBS News, with Rep Andre Carson, who is the chairman of the House Intelligence Subcommittee on Counterintelligence, Counterterrorism, and Counterproliferation, saying that they are a “potential national security threat, and they need to be treated that way.”
