A Caucasian man shared how he had lost his wallet in Singapore with about $500 inside, and received a letter from the Singapore police that his wallet was found.
Speaking to the camera for his TikTok video, he said he wanted to see if Singaproe lives up to its name and has his wallet with $500 of cash inside, if Singapore has honest people.
He then said that he needs that money back because him and his wife were expecting a baby in September.
In the next shot of the video, he was seen in the car explaining how he had just been to the police station and gone through the items that was handed in,
He then took out the money inside his wallet that was returned and counted it, and all the money was still inside.
He said it was unbelievable and that whoever handed it in, he thanked him/her and wished good karma on the kind samaritan and his/her family.
He said he wished he had the person’s name or number so that he could give some form of compensation for their honesty.
he added: “But this is Singapore all over, the honesty of the people all being on the same wavelength, they’re not being that criminal sort of mindset where they take the money and throw the wallet.
Whether it’s the security guards, taxi drivers, waiters, waitresses, just somebody walking in the street, I don’t know who you are.
But thank you so much because I need that money back, it’s a big blessing there for myself, and hopefully, others can be in that same mindset of helping one another.
So thank you very much and God bless you and your family whether you’re Indian, Bangladesh, Singaporean or from the UK, really thank you. if only I could take you for a beer or coffee.
it’s a lucky day for me and lessons learned.”
