A 43-year-old man, Chin Khai Shong, was engaging in a sexual activity with a 15-year-old boy at a staircase when he was caught in the act by 2 police officers.
He was jailed 7 months for committing an obscene act with a minor.
The two had met in January 2019 through Blued, a gay mobile dating app.
They agreed to meet up for sex at a HDB staircase at about 7pm the next day.
The chatted and touched each other over their clothes for an hour before the boy went home to retrieve some baby oil and Vaseline, a lubricant.
He then returned to the staircase.
The two then started engaging in a sexual act using the lubricants but were then interrupted by a couple of police officers.
It is not clear how the police officers knew about the offence.
