A female yr 1 student shared her views about being insecure of her bf interacting with other girls.
She claims that her bf messages another attached girl too often, even in the wee hours and says bad things about her to the attached girl. She also thinks that his bf is being too close to other girls in school.
Here is her story:
“My bf is currently a Y1 uni student. During his 1st semester, we had a huge argument as he was talking to and studying with an attached girl. It may sound normal, but they are messaging almost everyday till late night 4 – 5am. He did told me that she’s attached, and they are just friends. But I had read their chat and he was saying hurtful and disrespectful things about me to her (even though he knows I dislike her already). Because of it, we had a huge argument. And he compromised, by not studying or talking to the attached girl anymore. Recently I had a talk with my bf, regarding him befriending females in school. He understands that I am an insecure person, and I overthink a lot. I told him that I am uncomfortable with him befriending so many females in school. He reassured me that he is just making friends, nothing more than that. However, I found out that he have been talking to them via Telegram and even sending cute stickers. And usually it is him who started the conversation. This made me think of the attached girl situation again, and we kept arguing about it. Till the point that he told me he felt restricted by me… However, I don’t feel that it is wrong to have my bf comply to keep a distance from his new female friends. Instead, it should be an unspoken rule for all attached individuals right? It is okay to be friends, but not so close… Am I being restricting…? Please advice me on this…”
