Enforcement checks were conducted at 16 licensed and unlicensed public entertainment and nightlife establishments
12 of these establishments were allegedly found to have violated the Public Entertainments Act, the Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act 2015, the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020, and the Fire Safety Act.
Among these 12 outlets, 3 outlets were found to violate COVID-19 rules at Macpherson mall and one of the outlets has been suspended for 10 days.
In addition, An illegal ‘KTV-concept’ outlet was uncovered at a mixed-use office-cum-industrial complex on Lavender Street, where 10 males and two females, aged 20 to 41, were spotted singing karaoke and drinking alcohol as customers. The unit contained two distinct rooms, each supplied with karaoke equipment, televisions, and speakers.
10 men and 2 women between the ages of 20 and 41 were found singing and drinking in the establishment.
A 35-year-old man was arrested under Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act 2015
