A 39-year-old Vietnamese woman working as a cleaner at a community care facility was the only unlinked case out of the 16 community cases that MOH announced yesterday (29 April).
She reportedly became infected despite having donned full personal protective equipment during her work, which includes an N95 masks, face shield, gown and gloves.
She also helps out at a food stall at NUS’ Bukit Timah Campus.
She received her first Covid-19 vaccination dose on 27 January and second dose on 19 February.
She was asymptomatic and her case was discovered as part of a rostered routine testing.
The test result came back the next day, proving positive, and she was conveyed to NCID via an ambulance.
She went through an individual test which returned positive.
Her previous tests on 14 April were all negative.
