
According to the Ministry of Health, a student from Victoria Junior College was tested positive for COVID-19(May 8).
She has not been found to be linked to any of the previous cases.
On May 5 2021, the student felt unwell and went to see a doctor on the May 6. 95 students and 8 school staff has been quarantine and another 2,200 people who might be in contact with the student will be tested for COVID-19.
MOE said: “Given that this is currently an unlinked case, and with the increase in the community cases, other students, staff, vendors and visitors of the school are required by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to undergo COVID-19 swab tests,”
School going home base learning
“As it will take some time to complete and finalise the results of the COVID-19 swab tests, VJC will conduct full home-based learning from Monday, May 10 to Friday, May 14 in the first instance,” said MOE.Â
