Aiyo, I really don’t understand sia, nowadays still got people dare to do loanshark harassment in Singapore, some more with so many CCTV and police cameras around lor. Like this 27-year-old guy lah – kena caught for loanshark harassment at Pasir Ris Drive 6 on 19 June 2025, around 9.50pm.
Police say the fella went to one HDB unit, splash red paint all over the main door and gate, then somemore stick debtor note on the steps there. Like old school loanshark style sia. Don’t he know now everywhere got police camera?
Police Use Camera, Catch Him Within 6 Hours
The police from Bedok Division and the Police Operations Command Centre don’t play-play one leh. They follow up fast-fast, use camera images, identify the man, then pang sai already – catch him within six hours of report lor. Steady lah, SPF!
They also seize one handphone, black marker, gloves, and a can of red paint – all the things he use to do the harassment. Wah, really got all the “equipment” sia.
Go Court, Face Serious Punishment
Now he will kena charged in court on 21 June 2025 under Moneylenders Act 2008. First-time offenders can kena fine $5,000 to $50,000, jail up to five years, and somemore caning up to six strokes leh. Like that still dare to do? Bo wei gong lah!
Police say they got zero tolerance for loanshark harassment. Anyone who try to vandalise property or disturb public peace will kena jialat jialat. So please hor, don’t go help or work for loansharks.
