Was at the branch at Hougang Mall on 8 Sep 2022 at about 5.40 pm. Queued behind a guy who was making payment at the counter.
When he was done, I expected the service staff to show me to my table as I had been waiting for a few minutes.
Instead, she totally ignored me and went on to collect payment from another group of customers who got up from their table and walked to the counter.
I told the service staff I’d been kept waiting and she hadn’t even the courtesy to acknowledge my presence.
Instead of a simple apology for the delay (which I’d have gladly accepted and continued waiting a little more), she YELLED at me in Mandarin WITHOUT EVEN MAKING EYE CONTACT: “I need to collect money first. Collecting money is more important”.
To the management at Saizeriya, I want you to know that I have zero tolerance for this sort of garbage attitude. If this is how you train your service crew, you aren’t fit to be in this business.
While “collecting money” is important, do you not realise who pays your salary, rental, operating costs, etc.? I’m not expecting royal treatment, but if you can’t even treat and speak to your customer with basic courtesy, you don’t deserve my business.
In case you’d like to know what happened next – I spent my money at Ichiban Boshi that’s just next door. The crass attitude of your staff led to about $75 less in your revenue today.
On average, my buddies and I have been spending about $200 a month at your Hougang Mall outlet (we dine there several times monthly).
From now on, we WON’T spend a single cent with you. Please go compute the annual financial loss that crass attitude of your staff has cost you.
Of course, I’m sure you won’t go bankrupt without our business. And don’t bother apologizing – not gonna change my mind about putting a darn cent in your coffers!
