The Singapore Customs is the latest in a list of Singapore authorities who have issued an advisory to the public over fake emails that are impersonating its officers.
In the latest case, Singapore Customs had said that some members of the public had received such emails that were purportedly sent by them. The email, among others, required recipients to open an email link or file attachment, transfer a sum of money to an account of an individual, provide bank details and other personal information.
The police are currently investigating, and members of the public have been advised never to divulge any personal information online, or make any kind of payments to unknown individuals.
Wonder why so many of these emails are now sent impesonating public officers, and if any of these scammers have been caught
