A husband recently posted on Facebook on how his wife has changed after 6 months of marriage. He stated how she acts like the empress dowager and refuses to help round the house.
Here’s his full story.
I hate to say this. I regret marrying her. Pre and post marriage she’s like 2 different persons.
We’ve only been married 6 months, and should still be in our honeymoon period. In fact, we didn’t even go on our honeymoon. She was busy with a project and then this covid19 came. So I guess we can forget about any honeymoon rest of the year.
At home, she’s like the Queen, the Empress Dowager, the Tai Tai. Except that we are living in a 4rm HDB. She doesn’t lift a finger to do anything. Mopping the floor, laundry, cooking, dishwashing, toilet scrubbing. All bao by me the servant, the butler. After dinner she will just plong on the sofa, eat her stupid pudding, and watch her stupid lame K drama.
I know she doesn’t need to do chores at her folks’ place, but offering to help once in awhile will be nice. At least that’s what she promised pre-marriage.
Monthly bills and finances? Bao by me also.
Unbelievably, we’ve yet to properly consummate. Yes, after 6 months. On the wedding night, she claimed to be scared it would be too painful, so being the gentleman, I stopped without even touching her down there. After 6 months, it’s been a cycle of excuses. Migraine. Tired. No mood. Period. She told me her period is usually 2weeks. Really???? Back in sec school, my biology teacher said period is 1week. Is she saying my teacher was wrong? If its really 2weeks, guess she would have bled to death by now. Another lame, lazy, sorry excuse.
If I sound like a frustrated, exhausted, disillusioned husband, yes I am. I wonder if she really sees me as a husband, a soulmate to share joy and woe. Or joy she takes, woe give me, her 25/8 personal household, financial, life concierge.
She’s too old to be called the strawberry generation. I see her as an avocado. Easily bruised, and you won’t know its rotten inside until you open it up.
